Season will start without Mats Sundin

Mats Sundin has been accused of being poker-faced about his hockey future, but he made it clear Wednesday in Sweden that he won't be on the ice for any NHL team's season opener.

Sundin, 37, said he's still grappling with whether to make the commitment to playing again after spending 13 seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs, who open the season Oct. 9 against the Detroit Red Wings.

"I will not make up my mind before the season starts," Sundin said at a news conference in Stockholm.
